My random ramblings

Hello all my names Tracy and I hail from sunny West Bromwich. I mad about football and I support my local team West Bromwich Albion (and yes I did cry when we were relegated from the Premiership last season) I'm also a huge fan of Green Wing.

Remembering your password helps

Well I have finally remembered my password for this here blog thingy so I thought I may as well put up a new post.

I have had a relatively busy few months. I seem to have spent most of them trundling round the country going to comedy gigs with the lovely Jools. And in between my various trips to London, Cardiff and Nottingham, in pursuit of comedy, I managed several trips to the National Theatre and a visit to Wembley, but the least said about that the better.....all did not end well at Wembley. Don't get me wrong the stadium was fantastic and I had a brilliant day, but the journey home would have been so much better if we'd won!

This year seems to have happened in a whirlwind and I can't quite believe it's nearly the middle of October. The big Wembly disappointment hasn't cooled my love of the game. I renewed my season ticket and am enjoying myself as much as usual, which sometimes isn't a lot. You have to be used to disappointment to support West Bromwich Albion. So my diary is full of football games, and not much else at the moment. However I am off to see Rush at the NEC tomorrow which should be a fantastic night out and then on Monday I fly off the the US for 10 days.

I have to admit I have had more fun and been to more places this year than I have in the past 10. In fact recently I have spent so much time in London I have invested in an Oyster card. And even though I'm tired and need my holiday I wouldn't change this past year for anything. I have lived this year and I've decided I like it, so next year is going to be more of the same. I already have yet another trip to London planned as well as a weekend to Switzerland sorted, so I've made a good start.

Oh yes and I will attempt to put some of my adventures on here for who ever reads this drivel to enjoy.

Nervousness

Well tonight's the night, it is the second leg of West Bromwich Albions play off semi final against the old enemy Wolverhampton Wanderer's. We go into this game 1 goal in the lead on aggregate (we managed a very slender win at the custard bowl on Sunday 3-2 to the Baggies) Now all we need to progress to a play off final against Derby and Wembley on the 28th May is a draw tonight. So I'm pleading for everyone to send there good luck and best wishes to the Baggies, and to me as from 7.45 tonight I will be just sooo nervous (in fact it's already started to build) I have my ticket and I will be there, but I really don't think I can watch, this is not an experience I am looking forward to. I am beginning to wish I hadn't bought a ticket and could hibernate under by duvet tonight, and only check the score when I was feeling brave !

P.S.....ooh a football blog from a girl, never mind I'm sure I can think of some needlework or childcare related topics to blog on ......well maybe not

Knackerage

Well I have had a rather packed couple of weeks. I have been down to London 3 times since the 24th April, I think I may move down here it would certainly save time and money!

I came down to London last week to see the new Joe Penhall play Landscape With Weapon at the national Cottesloe theatre. The play was brilliant, well written and superbly acted. Tom Hollander's performance was flawless as was those of the supporting cast. Considering I went to an afternoon matinee it was very well attended. The audience even boasted a Hollywood star....Jack (Pirates of the Carribean) Davenport, who was there with his wife Michelle Gomez and his fellow This Lifer Andrew Lincoln.

The big news is that I was interviewed for and Channel 4 DVD. This meant that I spent a Saturday afternoon sitting in a comedy writers back garden somewhere in London, drinking beer and generally having a bit of a giggle whilst some very strange a silly filiming took place some of which included me! I'm not sure when the DVD will be out but it is going to be the new box set of Green Wing DVD's, which should include both series of the programme along with the Special that was aired in Jan this year. Although to tell the truth i'm a little anxious about this as I was properly rubbish....I don't think I have a carreer in TV beckoning

Also to those who are lurking out there, the quiz is still running as there are still a few answers to get do please have a go you never know you may just like it
